How can AI help you review an inbound production?

Short answer

Load the production into your Nuix Discover case and let Claira read it: an overview of what arrived, a first pass that codes the documents into your fields, and chronologies or key-document memos built from that coding.

When the other side produces documents, the first questions are practical ones: what arrived, what it covers and which documents matter. Once the production is loaded into your Nuix Discover case, Claira can help with all three, and the documents stay in Discover.

An early case assessment describes the case from its metadata: custodians, file types, the dates the documents cover, with their spikes and gaps, and who writes to whom. It lists the imports with the number of documents loaded, and tells you when new imports have arrived since the last assessment. It covers the whole case, so it says the most about a production that has a case to itself or makes up most of one.

For the content, select the production in Discover and run a bulk scan. Claira reads the documents against instructions you write, such as relevance to your issues or a short summary, and writes the results into your Discover fields, where you can search and sort them. Scanned pages, images, audio and video can be read directly.

From the coded documents, Insights can build a chronology, a list of key documents grouped by theme or an analysis by issue, with citations to the source documents, in Word, Excel or PDF. Claira checks that a cited document is one it read. Whether the document supports the point is for a reviewer to confirm, so check the citations you intend to rely on.
